Symphonic, emotional landscapes of music.
Hello, I hope you are well. Let me introduce myself.
I am a pianist and find my rest bite playing the electrical piano, composing and like playing dramatic musical landscapes of sound which, I find to be more emotionally connective with the audience and great fun to perform.
Being of classical upbringing, I enjoy progressive rock but love the drama of the symphonic style which, being a composer allows me to work with people on many instruments and overtones of textural music.
The last two bands I played keyboard for are "Aonia" and "Spirit of Eternity". I ended up leaving both bands because they were based in neighbouring towns and I would travel > 1hour to get to rehearsals.
I took a break from music for a few years to focus on my career (planning analyst within function of growth and strategy for finance, which is quite boring) and now I miss being involved in music. I am looking for talented musicians to form a new band of musical style somewhere between, symphonic and progressive as a mainstay of music with the odd industrially manufactured shorter 3-4 min more popular version to grab market share and new fans.
I have no ego when it comes to working with others and trying new musical ideas or performance thingies and am more interested in the end result of having a great showcase of music to perform for our audience.
I am looking to start a band in Nottingham with people from the local area.
The type of band structure I am thinking would likely involve 5 people, [ drummer, bass, guitar, keyboard, Lead female singer ] , and a doubling up from the other instrumentalists of second female singer and male singer. I am also looking for a team of open minded people who think alike when it comes to trying new ideas and breaking the boundaries of theatrical performance.
Our band is very much a new project for me whereby I want to be involved in contributing the foundational work with other talented leading musicians so we will be writing brand new original material and I expect all of us to be leaders in our group.
That will make me and my musical style/influence just one part of a big jig-saw puzzle. You should get an idea of my previous work and influence on the following links: -
